OBJECTIVES
To rehearse verbs and their jobs
To analyze sentences for nouns
To orient students to overview of the quarter
To define “expository”

BELLRINGER
Students wrote down 3 sentences.
They identified the verbs, their functions, and the nouns.

AGENDA
Class analyzed the sentences. Students took turns coming to the board to identify verbs, nouns, and functions.
Class discussion of the quarter emphasis (expository) and its definition.
Class orientation to the quarter’s overview.
