To analyze literary perspectives
To assess the differences in their lenses through evaluating them in stories
To apply these lenses to reading and explicating short stories
To incorporate terms and significance of meanings in explicating and discussing short stories
BELLRINGER:
Assemble a text (poem) cut apart into words in phrases/sentences that have meaning
AGENDA:
Discuss the reader response perspective
Use PowerPoint to analyze definition, sample theses, and self-questioning techniques
Read “On the Subway” by Sharon Olds
Respond in groups using the reader response lens
