OBJECTIVES:
To analyze a film version of MacBeth and compare it to Shakespeare’s play
To examine elements in the film such as mood, symbols, and characters
To compare MacBeth to King Duncan
To predict events to come from foreshadowing and other literary devices
To differentiate symbols in their relation to theme
To reflect in discussion

BELLRINGER:
M: Banquo was murdered; yet at the beginning of Act III, he seemed to know MacBeth’s evil plans. If anything, what would you have done differently in Banquo’s place?
T: You are to create your own report card. In what 5 imaginary subjects will you get an “A”? (Ex: Drinking lots of coffee: A)
W: Short day. No Bellringer.
Th: What is your opinion of the difference between a tyrant and a loved/respected ruler? Give specific examples.
F: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
